Tex Christopher for U.S. Congress, District 18, Attends HiMA (Houston Interactive Marketing Association)

Left to Right: Ed Garza, U.S. Congress Candidate District #18 Tex Christopher and Andy Valadez (me)

I rarely get to meet politicians, but usually enjoy when I do. Had the opportunity to meet U.S Congress candidate Tex Christopher through my great friend Ed Garza, who brought him by the HiMA mixer at Mercer’s on the evening of June 17, 2009. My good friend Kelsey Ruger of PopLabs had invited me to attend the event to meet the movers and shakers of the on-line and interactive marketing community. Well, I am glad I went. Had a chance to connect with some old friends to include new ones. The evening proved to be very busy and it seems that many entrepreneurs were there to collaborate and share their stories. Mr. Christopher was there to show his support for business owners and business professionals, understanding that the business owner is what drives the economy.

As I had an opportunity to chat with “Tex” (he likes to be called and his real name), I was impressed with his background. I mean, the guy used to ride bulls professionally and excelled in his business opportunities garnering a pretty significant following of supporters. He seems to be approaching his next task with the care, dedication, and foresight one needs in these perilous times. I have a feeling his bull riding experience will come in handy. Don’t let his easy demeanor fool you. I got the feeling that Mr. Christopher knows he has a winning agenda and platform and his focus is to foster a positive business climate for our state and his district.

A congressman who has a heart for the entrepreneur has my vote! I truly believe we need lower taxes, less government interference, and more business makers. This focus should resonate with those on the left or the right in these times. I invite you to learn more about Mr. Christopher by visiting his campaign website, www.TexForCongress.com. The Celebrity Debate, Paris HiIton is Back - Paris for President?

Good move for Paris and a great counter from the McCain team. Her response actually furthers the debate on who is right about the future of energy. McCain's team agreed that Paris is more in tune with the energy situation, even better informed than the Obama campaign. We think Paris is still hot! Get caught up in THE VORTEX!

Tell us what you think? Should McCain co-opt Paris or let this die? Will Obama back Paris? How would you position this as a Marketer advising either campaign?
